One-Word Commands in ChatGPT
- ChatGPT

In this guide
You send the photo, type a single word, and get back a technical blueprint of the VW Bus.
Before the list, the warning nobody gives you: there are no slash commands inside ChatGPT. Nobody programmed /blueprint. It's not a hidden feature, it's not a paid plan thing, it's not a trick.
What happens is simpler. The model understands the short word the same way it understands a three-paragraph prompt. blueprint is already the name of a kind of drawing, so it knows what to do with it. The slash is just a habit we brought over from other apps. You can write it without one, it works the same.
How to use it
- Open a new chat. One chat per command, otherwise the previous conversation contaminates the result.
- Attach the photo.
- Type just the word and send. No "make a", no "please", no explanation.
A temporary chat won't work, it doesn't generate images.

How to come up with your own
There's only one rule: the word has to be the name of a way of depicting the thing, not a request.
blueprint works because a technical blueprint is a kind of drawing that exists in the world, with its own rules, and the model has seen thousands of them. xray works for the same reason. improve doesn't work, cool doesn't work, awesome doesn't work. They're not image categories, they're opinions.
Quick test before you spend an attempt: if you could search for that word in an image search and get a thousand results that look alike, it works.
When it comes out wrong
Regenerate the same command before you change the word. The model varies a lot from one attempt to the next, and sometimes the second one already comes out right.
Got it wrong twice in a row with the same word? Memory is still on. Go back there.
What not to expect
You get a drawing, not measurements. The blueprint of your motorcycle will look like a technical drawing, but the dimensions are made up. Don't use it to buy parts.
Text inside the image often comes out garbled, especially in Portuguese. Part names come out scrambled.
It sometimes refuses photos of famous people. It'll do a photo of you.
